I approach therapy by establishing a strong foundation of collaboration, safety, and acceptance. This involves meeting you where you are, understanding what brings you to therapy, identifying current barriers to healing, and equipping you with tools to experience change. My framework is informed by exploring relational histories, family of origin, as well as the lived experiences that have shaped your unique narrative. As a white, queer-identified and gender queer woman, I believe strongly in honoring all identities while exploring how they are shaped by your generational history and intersect with your daily life. I am committed to reducing barriers for clients who have been historically marginalized within health care settings, specifically BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) folks and people who identify within the LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, plus all identities) community.I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker serving adolescents, adults, and partners in various relationship structures. I work with people experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, effects of trauma, issues related to gender and/or sexuality, life transitions, and challenges within interpersonal relationships. I utilize a variety of modalities to inform my approach, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy skills, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based techniques, Internal Family Systems strategies, and have been trained as a Clinical Complex Trauma Professional. I believe in using an integrative approach that honors mind-body wellness to promote resilience and change.
